The Strong Women Exhibit Opening Reception
A fabulous time was had on Friday at the opening reception for the Strong Women exhibit at Newark School of the Arts. There was such a diverse and creative energy that filled the room that evening. And It was incredibly inspiring to be surrounded by such talented women artists and their passionate works of art! The show featured both literal and abstract works, with a broad range of interpretations on the Strong Women theme. I am honored to be a part of this great show. The exhibition will be up until April 23, 2010.
Armisey Smith, one of the curators and fellow artists. That's her great painting behind us.

Happy Spring to you all!
In celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, I have created a series of paintings, which will be exhibited in a group show opening on Friday, March 19, 2010. The exhibition is being hosted by Newark School of the Arts, in Newark, NJ and will run from March 19 – April 23, 2010. All are welcome to attend!
I have to say that digging into paint, brushes and paper once again was such a refreshing departure from the digital world that I usually live in. And the subject matter... right up my alley! It was a blast, really. Thanks to Armisey Smith, curator and artist for the opportunity to be a part of this great show.
Hope to see you there!

The Rema Hort Mann Foundation’s “Buy What You Love” show was a great success! The show got lots of PR and press. Over $40,000 was raised with more than 350 people in attendance, benefiting cancer patients and artists.
My piece was sold in the second round of bidding. 100% of the
proceeds from the sale will be going to the foundation.
There are still some works available if anyone is interested in supporting the cause.
